Sonya brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of billing, AR management, and denial management, as well as other areas of Business Office Operations.  Over her career, Sonya gained her extensive background serving in several roles at a large academic medical center.  At this multi-facility organization which specialized in many healthcare areas, she gained a comprehensive background in Revenue Cycle.   She has experience across a diverse range of services including acute care, inpatient psych, behavioral health, maternity services, pediatric services, and many others.   

Sonya provides experience in leading billing and collection teams for PPS and IPPS hospitals.  She brings an in-depth understanding of Medicare/Medicaid programs, terminology, and billing processes and requirements. 

Sonya holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Southern Mississippi with a focus on Health Policy and Administration.
